As a Japanese design fanatic I just can't get enough of this oh-so-stylish Japanese gum eraser. Shaped like a slick of chewing gum this beautiful slim eraser is encased in a powder coated aluminium cover to keep the eraser in tip-top condition. Available in 3 colourways you can buy direct online from Pencils Japan.

We recently downloaded the very talented London born, Irish raised singer songwriter Maverick Sabre - with such a fantastic voice and meaningful lyrics, he's certainly one to watch! I love both these songs - 'I need' the latest single is out now. Give him the recognition he deserves and download it NOW! You can also check out his website for more details.

I've got a bit of a yellow 'thing' going on in my wardrobe at the moment which means that Marni's statement-making Lucite bib necklace is screaming 'buy me!' With colourful resin stones and brass tassels, it sure would elevate even the simplest outfit. This beautiful investment piece is available from Net-a-porter priced £340.

Currently doing the blog rounds is Therese Himmer's very sparkly, very bling sequin graffiti art. Very nice!
"I was interested in how these visual qualities also recall how landscapes respond to changes in wind and light. I moved from Denmark to Reykjavik in 2005 and the Series came as a response to my encounter with Icelandic nature and culture. In this context the sequins operate on dual levels. As they scintillate like water, ice or lava, they have an immediate visual and formal quality, which, in this framework, addresses the relationship between the natural and the artificial. Meanwhile, extracted from the commercial world, they serve as a critique of the increasing and disturbing commodification of Icelandic nature." Therese Himmer

This fabulous wagging tail dog clock amused me, as anyone who has a dog knows that you could set your watch to the accuracy of a dogs body clock - our dogs are like clockwork 7am walk, weed and feed, 12pm ditto and 5pm ditto.
Handpicked Collection's dog clock uses it's tail as a pendulum appreciatively wagging and ticking the minutes away. Available in Labrador, Spaniel and Dachshund priced £44.95. I want one!

The other half went to the Lakes on Saturday for the Rapha Supercross at Brockhole Visitors Centre on the banks of Lake Windermere. Armed with camera and a compulsory bottle of Duvel he set to work capturing this super-charged cyclocross event through a lens. His mates were riding with the Charge Bikes team so the images are predominantly Charge orientated. The setting, as you would expect, was amazing and the super-stylish hosts Rapha put on a spectacular show with their uber-cool branding displayed across the route.
(Foolishly) I volunteered to spend Sunday editing and presenting the images as a storyboard. I thought it was a great way to share the images with the riders rather than a link to flickr or 500px. The riders loved the finished result and I may start presenting more images in this format. Thanks to Rapha, the cyclocross riders and the Charge Bikes team for putting on such a great show.
You can catch the final stage of this event on Sun 23 Oct at Alexandra Palace, London. Go team Charge Bikes!

As a blogger I get sent hundreds of press releases, one that caught my eye this week was from Frequency - Lincoln's Digital Culture Festival. I love the branding for Frequency (see below) and this encouraged me to click on the link sent from their communications department. Sara at Frequency suggested that I take a look at The Icebook so that I did and I'm pleased to share that link here with you today!
The Icebook is a miniature theatre show made of paper and light. by award winning designer/director couple Davy & Kirstin McGuire An exquisite experience of fragile paper cutouts and video projections that sweep you right into the heart of a fantasy world. An intimate and immersive experience of animation, book art and performance. Beautiful.
You can see The Icebook at Frequency from Thursday 27th - Saturday 29th October at The Drill Hall.

I love this front web page for Manchester's design agency Music. Every single line rings true - fabulous execution that really shows their creativity, I wonder how they'll beat this when and if the new website goes live at Christmas? Fab work guys!
