I am a big fan of UK ceramicist Halima Cassell. Halima produces hand carved sculptural objects which are simply beautiful. Each piece takes between 100 to 250 hours to produce, before being fired. I have met and watched Halima work and her enthusiasm and passion really is inspirational. I do hope that you enjoy Halima's work as much as I do!
Artist Francis Trombly's uses trompe-l’oeil effects to recreate mundane objects, making labour-intensive pieces through weaving, embroidery, cross stitch, and crochet. The pieces shown here are 'Publix Receipt' and 'West Side Movers and Paper Mart Boxes". Amazing.
I am a little bit bored of the Keep Calm overkill...but this screen printed Jennie Gee version is perfect for the knitting and crochet devotees out there!
