Jaume Plensa at The Yorkshire Sculpture Park

One show that I'm definitely going to see this summer is the renowned Spanish artist Jaume Plensa at The Yorkshire Sculpture Park.  Plensa's work explores themes of love, memory, language and despair - encouraging tactile and sensory exploration. An artist of international reputation his stunning exhibition at YSP includes a 50-metre curtain of poetry made of suspended steel letters, large illuminated sculptures in the landscape, and engraved gongs that visitors can strike to fill the gallery with sound.  Admission is free to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the exhibition runs until 25th September. Drawing with Thread - Debbie Smyth

I'm a big fan of UK textile artist Debbie Smyth's work and eagerly awaited her latest project 'Drawing with Thread'. Using just thread and pins I find it fascinating to watch how Debbie shows both the process and progress for creating her distinctive plotting, pinning and threading drawing style. 'Drawing with Thread' is at the Shire Hall Gallery, Stafford until 23 April.

Ben Eine Mural

Following so many 'arty' people on twitter ensures that I have a mighty fine twitter stream. Yesterday I caught this beauty by @LeanneBuchan of Ben Eine's typographic mural at the London Graphic Centre in Covent Garden. Featured on the Londonist, this Oranges and Lemons nursery rhyme inspired mural was commissioned by Art Republic Gallery and can be seen for the next six weeks - not long enough imho! Fake London

Most bloggers look forward when talking about fashion. Not here, this has been in my 'drafts' folder for 6 months - despite being totally out of season I still think that it warrants a mention as Fake's fabulous comeback collection. A brand I simply can't get enough of, I'm pleased to see Fake have gone back to mainline fashion avoiding the diffusion ranges that contributed to the companies sad demise. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
